ELMWOOD, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson parish president Mike Yenni said he will have a comment later today on calls that he resign amid texting controversy that came to light last week.
Yenni called a mandatory staff meeting for 5 p.m.

Yenni, who last week bought commercial time, admitted to sending inappropriate texts to a 17-year-old man.
Yenni returned over the weekend from assisting in Hurricane Matthew relief efforts.
Every Jefferson Parish Council member and Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand have called upon Yenni to step down.
