New Orleans man shot Saturday afternoon in Kenner

KENNER, LA (WVUE) - A New Orleans man was shot and wounded in Kenner Saturday afternoon, according to Kenner police.

Around 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Kenner police received calls about a shooting that occurred in the 600 block of Hanson Street.

When police arrived, they learned the victim, Larry Wilson, 31, of New Orleans, was taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle.

Wilson was shot several times and remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Witnesses told police that after the shooting, a black male wearing a light colored shirt, with a white towel covering his face was seen running south across railroad tracks near Hanson Street and was seen getting into a silver vehicle which fled the area.
