NOPD identifies suspect in armed robbery on General DeGaulle

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD needs the public's assistance in locating Prentiss Bovia, who police say is wanted for armed robbery with a firearm and second degree battery.
 
On October 5, 2016, an armed robbery occurred at the Shell gas station in the 3000 block of General DeGaulle. The suspect was observed entering the store, producing a firearm, and punching the cashier in the face. He then forced the victim to open the cash register, took the cash and fled the scene.
 
During the subsequent investigation, Bovia was developed as a suspect and later positively identified as the perpetrator.
