NOPD investigating two Tuesday armed robberies

New Orleans police are investigating two Tuesday armed robberies.

According to initial police reports, the first robbery happened just before 6:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Coliseum Street.

The victim, a man of undetermined age, was approached by a suspect, described as a black man.

The suspect pulled a gun and demanded the victim remove everything from his pockets and lay the items on the ground.

The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.

The next robbery happened around 8:20 a.m. in the 3100 block of  Rue Parc Fontaine.

The victims, a 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were at the scene when a man kicked in the door, pulled a gun and demanded the man’s property. He then forced the man to leave.

After the man fled, the suspect attempted to assault the female victim before fleeing the scene.
