Body found inside burning vehicle in New Orleans East

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Fire Department discovered the body of a male inside of a burned vehicle Saturday morning in New Orleans East.

The NOFD responded to a call of a vehicle fire on Lake Forest Boulevard near Michoud Boulevard just before 11 a.m.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle engulfed in flames.

After the fire was extinguished, firefighters at the scene discovered the body of an adult male in the front passenger’s seat of the vehicle.

The case has been turned over to the New Orleans Police Department and the incident is currently under investigation.
