NOPD investigating two Sunday armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are investigating two Sunday armed robberies.

According to initial police reports, one robbery occurred just before 9:15 p.m. in the 7000 block of General Haig Street in Lakeview.

The victim, a 32-Year-old woman, was approached by two suspects described as black men in a silver sedan.

One suspect grabbed the woman and demanded her car keys.

After the car would not start, the suspects got back into the car they came in and fled the scene.

Another robbery happened just before 4 p.m. in the 1300 block of Mandeville Street.

The victim, a 29-yer-old man, was approached by two suspects described as black men.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim while the other subject demanded he empty his pockets. 

The victim complied and both subjects fled on foot with the victim’s property.
