Coroner identifies body found in Audubon Park lagoon

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office identified a woman who drowned in the Audubon Park lagoon last week.

Seila Freedman, 53, was homeless and suffering from "untreated mental illness" in New Orleans, Coroner Jeffery Rouse said.

Freedman came to New Orleans from Massachusetts last year. She left behind a husband and two children.

Foul play is not suspected in her death.
