NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police want to find a man who they said tried to steal a gun from a pawn shop.

It happened Oct. 6 just before 5 p.m. at the Cash America Pawn Shop in the 3000 block of Gentilly Boulevard.

Investigators released a surveillance picture of a man they claim tried to break the glass on a display case to get a gun out of it.

Once an employee confronted the man, police said he ran out of the store.

If you can help police identify the suspect, call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
