Orleans coroner identifies two Monday night shooting victims

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Orleans Parish Coroner has identified two men shot to death Monday night.

Levar Williams, 36, was shot and killed in the 2400 block of Dreux Avenue shortly after 8 p.m.

When police arrived they found Williams shot in the chest.

Williams later died at a nearby hospital.

Leroy Smith, 47, was shot and killed around 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Lyons and Constance streets.

Smith suffered several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead after arriving at a nearby hospital.
