Man robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon Uptown

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A man was robbed at gunpoint Uptown early Tuesday afternoon, according to initial New Orleans Police reports.

The robbery happened around 2:45 p.m. in the 8200 block of Nelson Street.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, was approached by a suspect described as a black man.

The suspect asked the man for 50 cents and then pulled out a gun and demanded his property.

The victim refused and a struggle ensued. The suspect then took $100 from the victim’s pocket and fled the scene on a bike.
