(WVUE) -

Cabela's outdoors stores announced a recall of about 3,000 food dehydrators because of concerns that defective wiring could cause a fire. They were sold at Cabela's stores nationwide and on the company's website in August and September of 2016.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said there were nine reports of the commercial-grade, stainless steel dehydrators malfunctioning.

Customers should check the back of their 80-liter units for the model number 541549; the 160-liter dehydrators have the model number 541650. Contact Cabela's at 800-237-4444 for details about receiving a refund or replacement.
