Voodoofest kicks off today in City Park

Voodoo Fest begins Friday

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Voodoofest opens today in City Park. In addition to the music, the festival has some new features to make the "experience" more pleasant.

In its 18th year, a few upgrades will help make music worshippers a little more comfortable.

From new flush toilets to bigger and better maps fest-goers will be able to find their way around. A sports bar will also be unveiled this year so fans can take a break from the music and catch up on the Saints, the World Series, or college football. And did we mention better drainage?

You can purchase tickets at the Voodoo Fest website.
