NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

A man charged in connection with the deaths of a Reserve man and woman agrees to serve nine years in prison.

According to our partners at Nola.com|The Times-Picayune, Frank Mike pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to two counts of obstruction of justice and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice for his role in a murder plot.

Mike admits he ditched a bloodstained van that had been borrowed by Kenneth and Lakeitha Joseph before their 2014 drowning deaths. Their bodies were found in the Intracoastal Waterway.

The plea deals comes after cooperation with prosecutors pursuing murder charges against other suspects in the case.
