(WVUE) - Welcome in to Juan's World where I'm thankful for this Saints Sunday knowing that my day-after Monday will be more enjoyable. That's what a Saints win on Sunday does for the start of the work week.
I'm also thankful for NFL rules vs CFL rules. As in, College Football Rules because if today's game in the dome were an NCAA game, then the Seahawks would've won and the Saints would've lost.
That last second throw from Russell Wilson to Jermaine Kearse would've won it for the Seahawks 'if' we were playing the one-foot-in rule that college football employs.
I'm also thankful that the refs decided to keep their yellow flags tucked away on two separate plays that should've been flagged for illegal picks.
Seattle head coach Pete Carroll couldn't believe it. After the game, cornerback Richard Sherman called the no-calls...'Interesting'.
The Saints, kept quiet, as they should. Take the luck of the no-call and move on. Lord knows these kind of calls have gone against them many times before.
And finally, I'm happy for the old cliche'....Next Man UP. It's because Tim Hightower was ready to step in for the fumbling Mark Ingram and step up to get the teams first 100-yard rushing game of the season, that the Saints got the much-needed victory today.
Winning in the NFL isn't easy. The Saints have reminded us of that far too often the past couple of years. So they're way overdue for the ball to bounce their way, especially at home, where they've now won back to back games, Making the Dome feel like an advantage again.
Let's keep it up.
Juan's World, Juan's World.....Excellent!!!
