NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Around 70 Entergy customers in the Uptown area will lose power Wednesday as part of the Urban Flood Control Project.

Customers can expect the outage to begin at 8 a.m. so the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers can complete work near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Willow Street.

Entergy expects the power to be back on by 3 p.m.

“Traffic on South Liberty Street between Valmont and Octavia streets will be affected, but Jefferson Avenue will remain open,” according to a release from Entergy.

The company says it has reached out to each customer that will be affected by the outage.
