LSU football player arrested for battery, suspended from team

LSU offensive lineman Donavaughn Campbell was arrested Sunday on the campus of Georgia Tech with two counts of battery. He has since been suspended from the team, according to LSU Communication Director Michael Bonnette 

According to a campus police report, the incident occurred in front of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house.

One of the victims told Georgia Tech police he was punched in the head and face by two men. Campbell, along with Georgia Tech safety Jalen Johnson, were arrested Oct. 30.  Johnson was booked with one count of simple battery.

Campbell played at Ponchatoula High School least season. The freshman has played three games for the Tigers this season.
