NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police are investigating three armed robberies in addition to another three that happened in quick succession in the Marigny/Bywater area Thursday night.
The first robbery occurred just after 2 p.m. in the 3400 block of Lancaster Street.
The victims, men ages 66 and 56, told police two suspects, described as armed black men, entered the location where the victims were working. They demanded their money.
The victims complied and the suspects fled the scene.
The next robbery occurred just after 6:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Viola Street.
The victim, a 14-year-old juvenile, told police three suspects, described as black men in a red Nissan Maxima, ordered him to get inside their vehicle.
They then drove to an unknown location where the suspects pulled guns and took the victim's red Beats headphones, a Fossil watch and an iPhone 6.
They then dropped him off.
The third robbery happened just before 9 p.m. in the 1600 block of Mirabeau Avenue.
The victim, a 69-year-old man, was walking when a dark colored vehicle approached.
Two armed black men got out and demanded the victim's money.
They took the victim's wallet from his pocket containing cash, then fled.
