NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A very weak cool front will bring drier air and just slightly cooler temperatures for the weekend. We should expect quite a bit of sun with a few fair weather clouds from time to time.
Big changes may be in store next week. A storm system coming out of the Western United States may bring us our best chance for rain in well over a month.
By Monday humidity will be increasing along with clouds. There could be a few light showers on Monday but the chance for more significant rain holds off until Tuesday and beyond.
These storms are tricky because they are very hard to time. Right now it appears there could be a pretty good chance for some rain between Tuesday and Thursday of next week.
Drier air moves back into the area by next weekend.
