NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Beneficial rains have fallen over parts of the area today and more is on the way. A disturbance will continue to move across the region on Tuesday bringing rounds of showers and a few storms. There could be locally heavy downpours in spots.
The rain will gradually end overnight Tuesday and early Wednesday with drier air once again dominating our weather. A cool surge will also arrive midweek and keep temperatures at or even slightly below normal at times.
A weak storm system may bring clouds back as soon as Sunday with a slight chance for showers early next week.
