JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Officers booked a man suspected of killing three members of an Old Jefferson family into Orleans Parish Prison Tuesday morning, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
Jatory Evans, 28, will be charged with first-degree murder in Jefferson Parish.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office released the identities of the three victims found in the River Road residence as 46-year-old Dwayne Hanson, 45-year-old Samantha Hanson, and 20-year-old Sydney Hanson.
Sydney Hanson is the daughter of Dwayne and Samantha Hanson and the ex-girlfriend of the suspect. She was seven months pregnant with Evans' child.
As firefighters approached the building, they found the body of one individual outside and another in the doorway. Both appeared to have gunshot wounds.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner later confirmed that the body of a third individual was located in an upstairs room inside the structure.
The body was badly burned to the point where the coroner could not determine the individual's identity at the time.
Evans was also booked in Orleans Parish with making an obscene phone call.
