Orleans coroner identifies four recent homicide victims

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Orleans Parish Coroner's office has identified four recent New Orleans homicide victims.

On October 15 Chermaine Scott, 37, was shot to death near the intersection of Clara Street and Jackson Avenue.

Officers were called out to investigate the shooting of a woman.

When they arrived, officers found Scott lying face down on the sidewalk on Jackson Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

She was pronounced dead at the scene

Gregory Hunter, 32, was shot to death and died and a local hospital on November 2.

On November 3 Gregory Pierre, 28, was shot to death in the 14000 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Hunter unresponsive.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On November 6, Drontreal Eleby, 32, was shot to death in the 12000 block of the South I-10 Service Road.

Police received a call reporting a man shot inside a hotel. When they arrived, they found Eleby on the floor in a first-floor hallway.

Eleby was pronounced dead at the scene.
