(WVUE, AP) - Few surprises were expected on Louisianans' choice in the presidential race, with Republican Donald Trump defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton in the state.
In the U.S. Senate, 24 candidates are on the ballot, though only five are in the top tier. No one is expected to get more than 50 percent, so the Senate seat isn't expected to be settled until a Dec. 10 runoff. Republican John Kennedy is projected to make the runoff.
In U.S. House races, four incumbents are running for re-election, while two seats are open - in the 3rd and 4th congressional districts - because Republican U.S. Reps. Charles Boustany and John Fleming are running for the Senate.
