Man killed, woman in critical condition after Marrero double shooting

MARRERO, LA (WVUE) -

A man was killed and a woman remains in critical condition after a Thursday night double shooting in Marrero.

Around 10:15 p.m., Jefferson Parish deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 2800 block of Mt. Kennedy Drive in Marrero.

When they arrived, deputies found the bodies of a man and a woman inside a white four-door Hyundai.

The man, who was sitting in the driver's seat, was shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman, who was sitting in the front passenger seat also had a gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to West Jefferson General Hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Investigators have yet to establish a motive for the shooting or identify any suspects.
