Saints fans take controversial loss in stride, prep for Panthers

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A tough loss for the Saints but a trip to the diner this morning helped some fans get over it and look forward to the next game against Cam Newton and the Panthers.

"He better get ready, we're going to take it out on Cam Newton," said Aaron Mercadel, a Saints fan who laments the loss but looks forward to Thursday.

Even looking ahead to a showdown with Newton is better than looking back at a tough loss.

"White shoes, white lines, how can you tell?"

Asked Leland Roussell, another fan.

Boundaries aren't lost on these Saints fans.

"Yeah he stepped out," said Kevin Mercadel.

"I think he was out of bounds on at least three steps," Aaron said.

But you won't find excuses among these fans.

"That game shouldn't have come down to one foot on the line," explained John Fitzpatrick.

Four turnovers don't help your cause, regardless of how close the black and gold might have been to beating the champs.

"I think the Saints are going to do them like we're doing this breakfast."

"It's still on my mind though, I'm eating to get it off," said Cyrus Connaway.
