NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Tim Frazier sank one of two free throws with two-seconds left to give the Pelicans their first home victory of the season, Monday, beating the Boston Celtics 106-105.
Anthony Davis was his usual steady self in leading the Pels in scoring with 25 points and 16 rebounds. The Celtics were paced by Isaiah Thomas, who was unstoppable with a game high 37 points.
But, the Pelicans bench, for once, was the difference in the game. Langston Galloway had twenty-one and the New Orleans back-ups outscored the Boston second stringers 57-to-20 as the Pelicans picked up just their second win in 11-games.
The Pelicans return to action in Orlando on Wednesday.
