NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The weather will be sunny and warm for the next couple of days. Highs will be in the upper 70's to even near 80 in spots. A warm breeze increases on Friday along with some clouds ahead of a strong cold front.
The cold front looks to move across the area by early Saturday morning. During the day Saturday, cold north winds will keep temperatures in the upper 50's. If we reach 60 degrees it will be for a very brief time.
Overnight lows will be in the 30's on the North Shore Sunday and Monday mornings. Right now, we are not forecasting freezing temperatures. South of the lake readings will be mostly in the 40's.
A warming trend will begin early next week.
