Report: Les Miles in the running for Baylor head coaching job

(WVUE) -

Former LSU football coach Les Miles is reported to be officially in the running to be the head football coach at Baylor University.

CBSSports.com is reporting that while Miles has been mentioned as a possible candidate in the past, sources are now saying he is under consideration.

Miles has made no secret of his desire to nab another “Power Five” job.

Baylor is in the market for a new head coach after Art Briles was fired after allegations that a woman was sexually assaulted by five football players.

While acting coach Jim Grobe has the Bears in fourth place in the Big 12 with a 6-3 record, the website reports Baylor is in need of a recruiting overhaul after the sex scandal decimated the 2016 class.

Baylor currently has two commitments for the 2017 class, according to the report.
