GIBSON, LA (WVUE) - A Gibson man is behind bars for the rape of a juvenile relative, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.
Police arrested 26-year-old Johnathan Bray for one count of First Degree Rape for an incident involving a female victim that was under the age of ten.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office says Bray traveled to Scott County, Mississippi where he confessed to a friend that he had been acting inappropriately with a female relative under the age of ten years old.
The friend contacted the Scott County Sheriff's Office to report what Bray had told him. Scott County Sheriff's Office took Bray into custody and held him until Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives were able to confirm the information with the child and obtain an arrest warrant.
Bray was extradited to Terrebonne Parish where he was interviewed and confessed. He is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.
