NOPD investigating three separate weekend shootings in New Orleans East

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are investigating three separate shooting incidents that occurred over the weekend in New Orleans East. 

The first incident occurred Saturday night in the 7200 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Police say that the victim was sitting in his car in the parking lot of an apartment complex when unknown individuals made their way around one of the apartment buildings and began shooting at the victim's vehicle. The victim was taken to University Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, which investigators believe are non-life threatening. 

The second incident took place Saturday night in an unknown location in New Orleans East. The male victim was walking when an unknown subject got out of a car and shot him. The victim realized he was shot and was brought to New Orleans East hospital via private conveyance. The man's condition has yet to be released.  

The third shooting occurred Sunday morning at the intersection of Bullard Avenue and Hayne Boulevard. According to police, the victim was standing at the intersection when he heard a gunshot and realized he was shot. He then drove himself to University Hospital for treatment. His condition has not yet been released.
