NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The Kenner Police Department says they have made an arrest in an armed robbery that happened Saturday afternoon.
Police say the robbery happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the in the 4200 block of East Loyola Drive.
According to police, the suspect, 33-year-old Michael Carr, lured the a 32-year-old female to the location under the ruse of a drug deal.
When the victim arrived at the location, Carr entered the passenger's side of the vehicle and pulled out a gun.
The victim told police that Carr put the gun on her neck and also struck her numerous times with the gun. He then threatened to kill the victim and demanded that she handed over all of her belongings. Carr fled the scene with two cellphones and $80.
Carr was later arrested at a home in the 4200 block of East Loyola Dr.
Police say Carr confessed to the crime and the victim's belongings were recovered.
