NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are looking for four women suspected of kidnapping another woman and forcing her to withdraw money and purchase items for them.

The suspected kidnapping happened early on Thursday, November 17.

The victim told police that around 5:15 a.m., a four-door white vehicle, possibly a 2013-2016 Nissan Altima, approached her near the intersection of Conti and Dauphine streets.

She told police the driver posed as an Uber driver and lured her into the vehicle.

Once inside, she was confronted by four other women who took her cell phone and forced her to purchase items and withdraw money from ATMs. They also took the victim’s credit cards and her social security card.

The victim told police she asked to be let out the car several times, but the suspects told her that if she complied with their demands she would be taken to her hotel.

The victim complied and was then allowed to get out of the car.

Investigators recovered video surveillance that captured three of the four suspects.
