BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana's Fire Marshal and the Agriculture & Forestry Commissioner together announced the state is no longer under a burn ban.
On November 5, 2016 the state issued the ban against any outdoor burning due to extremely dry conditions.
Today, H. "Butch" Browning and Mike Strain said effective at 4 p.m. outdoor burning will once again be permitted. The two officials remind everyone burnings are subject to any and all state, local and fire department rules and laws.
The State Fire Marshal thanked citizens for complying saying many fires were prevented that saved lives and property.
