Trio of suspects sought in carjacking of Tulane student

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The NOPD is looking for three suspects wanted for an early Tuesday morning carjacking of a Tulane student.

Around 1:50 a.m. the victim was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Nashville and South Claiborne when she was rear-ended by a gray four-door vehicle.

The car was occupied by three unknown black males. Two of the suspects exited the car, spoke with the victim for a moment, then one of the males jumped into the victim's vehicle and drove off.

The second suspect returned to his vehicle and followed the victim's vehicle down South Claiborne toward Calhoun Street and then disappeared.

All three of the males were described as young, in their early 20s, 5'9" tall, and having short black hair. One of the suspects was wearing a blue baseball cap and the other was wearing a white t-shirt. There is no description available on the third suspect.
