Pelicans forward Dante Cunningham out 4-6 weeks with a broken leg

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans Pelicans forward Dante Cunningham suffered a fractured fibula and will be out four to six weeks, according to the Pelicans.

Cunningham suffered the injury in the second quarter of Wednesday night’s 117-96 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Smoothie King Center.

Cunningham has appeared in 15 games for the Pelicans this season, averaging 5.6 points while shooting .410 from three-point range. He has also averaged 3.9 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game.

In his eighth National Basketball Association season (third with New Orleans), Cunningham has appeared in 527 career regular season games, averaging six points and 3.7 rebounds in 21 minutes per game with Portland, Charlotte, Memphis, Minnesota and New Orleans.
