WASHINGTON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - On November 28, a Washington Parish Sheriff's Office deputy working a detail at Riverside Hospital in Franklinton noticed a person who was acting in a suspicious manner. The deputy determined the man was not at the hospital for medical treatment, but had accompanied a friend there.
The deputy was able to identify the man as Justin Wayne Stafford, 29, a resident of Nobles Cemetery Road in Franklinton. The deputy also determined that Stafford had three outstanding warrants:
*Failure to Appear—Possession of Cocaine
*Failure to Appear—Traffic offenses
*Failure to Appear—Disturbing the Peace by fighting
The deputy took Stafford into custody and transported him to the jail. During a search while being admitted to the jail, investigators say it was discovered that Stafford had cocaine and Suboxone pain strips on his person. He was booked into the Washington Parish Jail and no bond has been set at this time.
