NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police arrest the third man wanted for opening fire on officers in the Fifth District.
Friday, NOPD officers working with the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force tracked down Christopher Thomas at a residence in the 2500 hundred block of Lavender.
Authorities booked Thomas on multiple charges which include two counts of attempted first degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and resisting an officer.
Wednesday afternoon, officers with NOPD's "TIGER" Unit spotted a white Ford Expedition driving erratically on Annette Street.
The vehicle pulled to the side of the road and as officers approached, they say at least three people got out of the vehicle and at least one of the men fired gunshots at them.
Police did not return fire and no one was hit.
Police arrested Keith Craig and Harold Mitchell during an extensive search of the area Wednesday. Officers say they also recovered a handgun.
