NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Strong storms could develop overnight between the hours of 2 AM and 9 AM. Heavy rain and strong winds are the biggest threats, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will remain around the 60-degree mark on both sides of the lake overnight due to the cloud cover and rain.
You'll need the rain gear through the day Sunday, as rain is likely throughout the day with a few dry hours mixed in. Heavy downpours will be possible, and localized street flooding is possible. A warm front may help to bump temperatures up a little, but the clouds and rain will still have them struggling to get to the 70-degree mark during the day.
System #1 could leave some lingering showers on Monday morning, and storms could be possible later in the day or even overnight. Still too soon to nail down the timing, but we are under a Slight Risk for severe storms that day. Stay tuned!
