Saints fall to the Lions

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Saints (5-7) playoff chances went on life support after a disappointing 28-13 loss to the Lions today. After scoring 49 points last week against the Rams, the Drew Brees-led offense could only muster one touchdown. The rest of the Saints points came off two Will Lutz field goals.

Matt Stafford went 30 of 42 passing, 341 yards, including two touchdown passes for the Lions. Brees countered with no touchdown passes, and three interceptions. The Saints only score came off a John Kuhn 1-yard touchdown run.

The Saints close the season with road games at Tampa Bay, Arizona, and Atlanta. The Black and Gold host one more game in the Superdome against the Bucs.
