Juan's World: Keeping the faith....kinda

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Welcome in to Juan's World and I'm gonna keep this brief. It's hard 'keeping the faith' when it comes to the Saints. What they do one week to draw us in, they completely push us away the 'next' week by doing the opposite.

Far too many times this season, last season and the season before that, these Saints have shown an incredible ability to walk a fine line...from excellence to mediocrity. And where has it gotten them? You know the answer to that.

Every preseason, the Saints do an amazing job of getting its fan base to buy in. And soon after the checks from those season ticket holders gets cashed, a feeling of emptiness sets in. Or is it a feeling of being swindled, bamboozled and hoodwinked? Because these past three seasons of Saints football haven't been worth the hard earned money that's been spent.

So....when we learn? When will Saints fans send Tom Benson a clear message that change needs to happen soon? Money talks and if Mr. Benson isn't making it, he'll wanna find out why. And he need look no further than the product he's allowing to take the field each week.

I know he can't be happy with what he's seeing. He wants to win. He wants to win another Super Bowl. And even he knows that the Drew Brees window is closing quickly.

So what to do, what to do. Well, one thing we do know. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. Meaning, even though the Saints are mathematically still alive for the playoffs, let's be honest. We've read this chapter before. We've seen how this movie ends. It's the same as it's always ended under Sean Payton.

We'll get em next season.

Juan's World, Juan's World.....Excellent!!!
