Police search for killer in gas station shooting

HAMMOND, LA (WVUE) -

The Hammond Police Department has three suspects in custody and is searching for a fourth in a domestic violence shooting that left a woman dead.   Hammond Police received a call around 11:15 Sunday night of a domestic dispute at the Value Place Inn, located at 408 Westin Oaks Drive.  Just before they arrived on the scene, an officer heard screaming at the Shell Station across the street at 3151 Highway 190 West.  When police pulled up, a woman, identified as 22-year-old T'keyah Hooker was found dead on the ground from an apparent gunshot wound.  

Hammond detectives have identified the trigger man as 25-year old Martin Dejaun Haynes.  Haynes is still on the loose. and warrants have been issued for Second Degree Murder and Obstruction of Justice. Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute that began at the hotel and ended at the nearby gas station.  Police have not said what the relationship is between the dead woman and Haynes.

Three other people were arrested in connection with this case.  37-year old Eric McDonald of Independence is an Obstruction of Justice charge.  23-year old Jireal Lee of Hammond was arrested on Accessory after the Fact Second Degree Murder and 39-year old Marqueita Moore of LaPlace is facing a charge of Accessory after the Fact Second Degree Murder.
