NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Rob Jason, owner of Radikal Fitnezz demonstrates three leg workouts great for toning.
Hack Squat - Position shoulders comfortably under shoulder pad and stand with feet shoulder width apart. Next, release the weight. Perform a deep squat and push up. Choose your weight wisely for this machine. This exercise is good for quads, hamstrings and glutes. If the machine is too heavy, you may need one or two people to assist you. Try 10 to 15 reps for three sets.
Inverted Leg Press - Lie on the back, with feet above you shoulder width apart or a little wider. Release the weight and contract legs easy and push up. Weights can be added to this machine depending on your level of fitness. This exercise is great for the hamstrings and glutes.
Hurricane Squat - Place bar on your trapezius muscle, never on your neck. After bar is placed comfortably, perform a low squat. Be sure to squeeze muscles as you stand up. This is a total leg workout.
For those looking to tone, perform higher reps.
If you are looking to build, add weight and do only 10 to 12 reps.
