Houma man accused of stealing 30 televisions arrested

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

A Houma man accused of stealing between 20 and 30 television from a restaurant is arrested by Terrebonne Parish sheriff's deputies.

Deputies arrested 34-year-old Kevin Portier on Thursday and booked him with simple burglary. 

They said Portier is a suspect in the disappearance of the televisions from the Twin Peaks restaurant on Martin Luther King Boulevard. 

The business has been closed for several months. 

Detectives have received information that Portier and associates have sold multiple televisions on the street in order to support a drug habit. 

Deputies are asking for anyone who may have purchased any of these stolen televisions from Portier or his associates are asked to call the Sheriff's Office, (985)876-2500, or Bayou Region Crime Stoppers, 1(800)743-7433.
