Ben Zahn wins Kenner mayor's race

KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

Ben Zahn defeated Gregory Carroll in a runoff for mayor of Kenner. He will complete the term left by Jefferson Parish President Mike Yenni. It ends June 30, 2018.

Zahn, a Jefferson Parish Council member, defeated Carroll, a Kenner City Council member.

Zahn, a Republican, gained 49 percent of the vote in the November primary. He was endorsed by large civic, business and political groups.

He replaces Mike Sigur, who served as interim mayor after Yenni left office.
