NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Most people holding on to Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphones won't be able to use them much longer.
Samsung plans to roll out a software update on December 19 that will make the phones inoperable. The company recalled millions of Note7 phones earlier this year, after they started to catch fire.
Not all wireless phone companies have agreed to push the new software update. A spokesman for Verizon says his company won't push the update because the company thinks some people "do not have another device to switch to."
