NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Saints didn't find the end zone in the first half, but only trail 13-8 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Through the first quarter Drew Brees was 2-of-3 passing for 11 yards. With zero rushing yards in the first frame, the 11 yards of total offense gave the Saints their lowest output in a quarter since 2006.
The Bucs cashed in on the first touchdown of the contest thanks in large part to Saints defensive penalties. Doug Martin's 1-yard touchdown run gave the Bucs a 10-0 advantage.
The Saints points came off two Will Lutz field goals from 34 and 42 yards and a safety.
