NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The year 2017 is looking a little funny ... in a good way.
Longtime comedian/actors Dave Chappelle and Chris Tucker will co-headline the Saenger Theatre on February 15th for an unforgettable night.
Tickets to see the pair will now go on sale Wednesday, December 21 at 10 a.m. Originally set to go on sale December 14, the sale was pushed back because of scheduling conflicts.
Chappelle has appeared in box office hits including The Nutty Professor, Con Air, and Blue Streak. It was until 1998 where he landed his first lead role in the comedy film Half Baked which he co-wrote with Neal Brennan.
Chappelle and Brennan paired again in 2003 for his comedy sketch television series, Chappelle's Show, which ran until 2005. Fans enjoyed Chappelle back in the spotlight as he hosted "Saturday Night Live" following a turbulent presidential election. His performance garnered social media attention and FCC complaints, according to Complex.
As for Chris Tucker, it was the 1990s Russell Simmons' HBO Def Comedy Jam where he gained attention. He shot to fame for his role in the 1995 classic film Friday alongside Ice Cube. He later went on to play as the very funny Detective James Carter in the Rush Hour film series.
Tucker has starred in films that have collectively grossed over one billion dollars in box office sales world wide including the 2013 Oscar-nominated film Silver Linings Playbook.
