NATALBANY, LA (WVUE) -

State Police have identified two men who were killed Tuesday afternoon after the car they were in collided with an Amtrak train on the North Shore.

According to a spokesman with Louisiana State Police, the crash happened at Highway 1064 at Oak Street in Natalbany.

Colton Williams and Jason Lang, both 23-year-old residents of Tickfaw, died at the scene.

Police say it appears that Williams drove around a stopped car at the crossing and tried to drive around the crossing arms before the crash.

The train was carrying 68 people. None was injured.
