NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Tulane University admits it made a mistake telling 130 applicants they got into the school.

The mistake involves Early Decision applicants who received a welcome email on December 15 around 2 p.m. At that time, the school had not made a decision about the applications. It apologizes for the error.

Since then, the school has informed all of the applicants whether they got in. University representatives say it would have been too difficult to follow through with admission for everyone because it would have thrown off class size.
