NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A former New Orleans police officer is due in court Monday for a hearing on the sexual assault charges against him.

Marcellus White is accused of raping several children.

The charges stem from acts that investigators say occurred over a span of 16 years.

Marcellus white was a 19-year veteran of the NOPD, he resigned just last month."

White is charged with 16 counts including four counts of second-degree rape, molestation of a juvenile and sexual battery.

According to a report by our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, police say White admitted to performing sexual acts with three victims, ranging in age from 10 to 15.
