NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office says that they have arrested a Thibodaux man accused of stealing fishing supplies and siphoning gas in Cocodrie.
Detectives arrested 35-year-old Dale Wayne Massey of on December 20 and charged him with simple burglary and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, they received a call about a burglary in the 6600 block of LA Highway 56 in Cocodrie. They believe the burglary happened between December 14 and December 16. Multiple fishing rods and reels were reported stolen from the location along with gasoline, stereo equipment and more.
On December 19, deputies received another call about a burglary in the 7600 block of LA Highway 56 in Cocodrie. During the burglary, gas was siphoned from the property and the shed was broken into.
Detectives received a tip regarding the burglaries that helped them identify the suspect as Dale Massey.
Massey was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail where he is being held on a $150,000 bond.
